Australia’s last iconic Ford 'ute' rolls off the production line
The last ever Ford “ute” has rolled off the production line in Australia. Short for “utility vehicle”, the half-car, half-van was first produced in the 1930s.
Australian comedian Felicity Ward learnt to drive in one. She spoke to 5 live Breakfast about the ute’s iconic status in Australia.
“It’s got so many uses. I’m worried what builder’s dogs are going to have to do now!” she said.
