Do we need a Black Lives Matter movement in the UK?
Demonstrations are being organised across England by Black Lives Matter UK.
The events fall after the fifth anniversary of the death of Mark Duggan, shot dead by police in Tottenham, and before the anniversary of the riots his death sparked.
Black Lives Matter is a movement that has grown in protest against police killings of black people in America.
It is an organisation and a collection of ordinary people who tweet the slogan 'Black Lives Matter'.
So what does the movement hope to achieve in the UK and why is it needed?
