Pogba is the 'midfielder Man Utd need' - Bryan Robson

Manchester United legend Bryan Robson says Paul Pogba is 'the type of midfielder' the club need as the Frenchman closes in on a move to Old Trafford.

United are on the brink of re-signing Pogba from Juventus in a deal worth over 拢100m ($131m).

They will pay a world record 拢89m (105m euros) transfer fee, with other costs such as agents fees to be added.

"He's a very good player and I think it would be a very good signing," said Robson.

"He is the type of midfielder we need," he added.

Pogba will have a medical in the next few days with the deal due to be completed in midweek.
