Lawyers targeted in Pakistan suicide attack
A suicide bomb attack has killed dozens of people at a hospital in Quetta in south-west Pakistan, officials say. This latest attack appear to be part of a wider pattern targeting lawyers and other professionals in Balochistan. Is the current spike in violence to be seen in the context of an on-going insurgency in the region? Dr Farzana Shaikh is a Pakistan specialist at Chatham House, an independent foreign affairs think-tank.
