Professor Alexis Jay - who led an investigation into the sexual exploitation of girls in Rotherham - is the fourth person appointed to chair the inquiry into child sex abuse in England and Wales.

Professor Jay replaces Dame Lowell Goddard, who resigned last week. She was already among the panel of advisers taking part in the investigation. The 蜜芽传媒's Angus Crawford told PM's Eddie Mair that the inquiry has "possibly now got the right chairwoman but via completely the wrong process".
