Australia Blocks Chinese Power Purchase

Australia follows Britain in expressing security concerns over Chinese investment.

Australia is in global terms China's neighbour, and they are firm trading partners. But it seems that partnership has limits. Australia's finance minister has blocked a bid by the State Grid Corporation to get a 50.4% controlling stake in Ausgrid. The deal was worth a reported $7.5 billion. We talk to Hans Hendrishke, Professor of Chinese Business and Management at the University of Sydney. Meanwhile, we also look into modern day slavery.
