'Check before you tap'
More than £9 billion was spent in the first half of 2016 using contactless cards.
It is a technology that continues to soar in popularity as more pubs, retailers, food outlets and transport networks accept payments with just the tap of a bank card - no need to remember a pin code or sign your name.
