Meet Octobot!
Engineers from Harvard University, in the US, say they've built the first-ever entirely soft, self-contained robot. It is made from silicone gel and resembles an octopus. The so-called 'Octobot' is powered by gas flowing through tubes - marking it out from previous soft robots, which were rigged with electronics or connected by cable to a power supply. Eventually, researchers hope to see pliable robots, doing delicate jobs in surgery or in earthquake rescue missions.
