'Sutcliffe will be a massive target: he would be a good scalp to have'
Peter Sutcliffe, the serial killer who became known as the Yorkshire Ripper, is back in prison after 32 years in Broadmoor psychiatric hospital. He was convicted in 1981 for murdering thirteen women and attempting to kill another seven.
A health tribunal recently decided he no longer needed to be treated for paranoid schizophrenia, so he has now arrived at Frankland Prison in County Durham.
Noel Smith, author of The Criminal Alphabet, was an offender and has served time in 33 different prisons. He tells Carolyn Quinn what conditions will be like inside Frankland.
