Campaign to buy Paralympic tickets for Rio kids
The Paralympics start in Rio de Janeiro is imminent - but only 12 per cent of the tickets have been sold. It had been looking like the athletes would be competing in near-empty stadiums.
Jack Chew wasn't too happy with that, so he came up with a campaign for people to buy up the spare tickets to distribute for free to local children.
Jack said: “The outrage of them competing in empty stadia started this, so we got onto a crowd funding site, and it turns out other people are feeling the same.”
The campaign has started to gather steam, raising £3,000 so far. “Every little helps so we can get as many bums on seats as we can,” added Jack
