Ed Balls: 'I fear my time has gone'
Ed Balls says he misses the sense of 'purpose and mission' that comes with being in government.
The former shadow chancellor said "I'm looking forward to my life and thinking 'will there be something else that comes along that can give me that sense of purpose?'"
In answer to 5 live's Sarah Brett joking it could all depend on how he does as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing Ed Balls replied "in that case I'm totally doomed!"
