Ken Livingstone on Keith Vaz: 'Don't judge'

The former mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, has backed the Labour MP Keith Vaz, who has resigned as chairman of the Commons ѿý Affairs committee.
Mr Vaz came under pressure to quit after a newspaper claimed he had paid for the services of two male sex workers.
Speaking to Victoria Derbyshire, Mr Livingstone said: "Don't judge somebody on one mistake they make in their life, or even a couple of mistakes."
"He's always been on the side of justice and that can't all just be swept away by one mistake that he's made.”
Mr Livingstone also repeated the remarks that led to his suspension from the Labour party.
He caused controversy in April when he claimed that Hitler "supported Zionism".
In his interview on the Victoria Derbyshire programme, he said what he had said was "true".
