JD Sports boss: Why sportswear will cost more this year
The executive chairman of JD Sports, Peter Cowgill, says customers will an increase in the price of sports clothes this year.
He told 5 live the company would “try and mitigate” the rise in cost as much as they could, but customers could expect “some upward pressure in a few months’ time”.
Mr Cowgill made his comments after figures out on the13th of September showed JD sports has made record half-year profits of £77.4 million.
