Stuntman Eddie Braun plans 'Evel Knievel' jump
Veteran Hollywood stuntman Eddie Braun on his plan to emulate – and better – his idol, Evel Knievel. In 1974, Knievel, a daredevil showman who delighted millions with his elaborate stunts, attempted to cross the Snake River Canyon in Idaho in a steam-powered rocket. He failed and survived a crash into the river below. Braun has built a new rocket that he’s called the ‘Evel Spirit’ and says he will make the same jump on 17th September. He tells Tim Franks why.
