Former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas says Liverpool look genuine Premier League title contenders after an impressive start to the season.

Jurgen Klopp鈥檚 side have won three of their opening five matches, with wins over Arsenal, Leicester and Chelsea while also drawing at Tottenham.

鈥淭hey鈥檝e been outstanding,鈥� Jenas said.

鈥淭o win this league you do need to beat the teams in and around you.

鈥淭hat鈥檚 coming to Chelsea, going to Arsenal and putting in the performance they did at Spurs.

鈥淭hat tells me that this Liverpool squad are now ready to challenge for the title,鈥� he added.
