We won't give up on Syria

Warplanes in Syria have started bombing the city of Aleppo shortly after the army announced that a week-long ceasefire was over. The cessation of hostilities was meant to provide an opportunity to get much needed humanitarian aid to the Syrian people. However the head of the UN Humanitarian Task Force for Syria, said the window of opportunity was lost because the promised access wasn't provided.

Jan Egeland warns that what's happened so far in Syria is "worse than anything we've seen for a generation". But he says he won't give up, and is hopeful of getting aid convoys through this week.
