The Royal Opera House House says that next year it will co-produce - with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Curve, Leicester - the only opera written by the famous Indian musician and sitar player, Ravi Shankar. He pioneered fusion music between India and Europe, most famously with collaborations with the Beatles guitarist, George Harrison. His daughter Anoushka Shankar spoke to Dan Damon about the opera, 'Sukanya'.
