Audley Harrison: Tyson Fury ‘has been a bit of a wild character’
Olympic and professional boxer Audley Harrison has told 5live “he feels sorry” for Tyson Fury – after allegations the world heavyweight champion failed a drugs test.
Reports suggest the positive test came in a sample taken by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association in Las Vegas, which is often used by promoters in the build-up to major fights. The Fury camp has yet to comment on the allegations.
Audley Harrison told Eleanor Oldroyd: “He’s got to take responsibility for himself. He’s been a bit of a wild character.”
The news comes a week after Fury pulled out of his world heavyweight title rematch against Vladimir Klitschko. Fury risks being stripped of his title if he’s unable to provide a satisfactory explanation.
