Bellew: I visited the depths of hell preparing for fights
Tony Bellew says he "visited the depths of hell" in preparation for fights.
The WBC Cruiserweight title holder admits he used to go to extreme lengths when trying to make a weight before a bout.
"I visited the depths of hell and tried to sneak out the back door, that's what I used to do," he told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s boxing correspondent Mike Costello on 5 live Sport.
"Weight-making is a big part of boxing, but it's a very dangerous part of boxing as well."
Bellew was talking following the death of professional boxer Mike Towell on Friday after being seriously injured in a fight against Dale Evans the previous day.
