Radio 4 presenter Steve Hewlett describes his disappointment at discovering his first course of chemotherapy had not worked.

"It is like being given notice, but not knowing if the universe will act on it or not," he says.

Steve was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus earlier this year, and over the last few months has been on Radio 4's PM programme talking about his cancer treatments.
