The keeper who conceded 8 seconds into his debut
Gibraltar goalkeeper Deren Ibrahim broke a footballing record during his international debut against Belgium in Monday's World Cup qualifier. However, unfortunately for Deren it wasn鈥檛 the record he would have wanted, as he conceded a goal just eight seconds into the match. Belgium then went on to secure a 6-0 victory.
However, he wasn鈥檛 disheartened by the night鈥檚 events:
鈥淭o make your debut against Belgium in a World Cup qualifier is a massive achievement,鈥 he told 5 live Drive.
"If you're going to make your debut, you might as well do something you're going to remember it by鈥 he joked.
On the stick he has received from his friends, Deren said:
鈥淎t the end of the day they are texting me, I鈥檝e played in a World Cup qualifier!鈥
