Howard Webb: FA should take Mourinho to task over referee comments
Former referee Howard Webb told 5 live the FA should Jose Mourinho to task over his comments about referee Anthony Taylor.
Webb said: "Focusing attention on the match referee is simply mind games. It's simply trying to gain an advantage."
Mourinho said it would be "difficult" for Manchester-based Taylor to perform well after the decision to give him the game was criticised.
But Howard Webb, who refereed at the 2010 World Cup, said "I think the FA should take him to task about commenting on officials when he knows he can't do it."
He said: "For a coach to do this when he knows the rules there should be some action against him."
Howard Webb said Anthony Taylor should put on a professional performance and "focus on what's presented in front of him."
