Club staff tell me 'Barkley is difficult to coach'
Football coaches say that coaching midfielder Ross Barkley is 'difficult', according to journalist Andy Dunn.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman dropped Barkley for the last game and Dunn believes it is because the midfielder is not disciplined enough. He said: "Coaches have told me that Ross is a tremendously gifted player but he is quite hard to coach."
Dunn says that Barkley will have to improve his mentality if he is to retain a starting place in Koeman's side, adding: "The modern manager wants players to be disciplined. There's not much room for free spirits or loose cannons. What Koeman is saying is 'You've got to track back, mature and be more disciplined."
