British Airways passenger Steve Lowy has described the emergency situation aboard his diverted flight from San Francisco to London after 25 crew members fell ill. The Airbus A-380 was re-routed to Vancouver in western Canada a few hours after take-off.

He said the crew were 鈥渧ery calm鈥� and that it 鈥渨as all very British.鈥�

鈥淭hey said they didn鈥檛 really know, the crew are not well and there may be a technical fault with the plane,鈥� he added.

Steve was returning to the UK on the flight after a business trip. All twenty five of the crew were later discharged from hospital.
