Learning how to talk to my autistic 'lost little boy'
A new study has found that teaching parents how to interact more effectively with severely autistic children, can have a dramatic effect.
Kelly Jones and her autistic son took part in the study. She tells James Coomarasamy how it took a stranger to teach her how to reach her 'lost little boy'.
The scientists behind the study say this is the first time an effective long-term treatment for the core symptoms of autism has been demonstrated.
