Labour is opposed to the UK remaining a member of the single market after it leaves the European Union, the Shadow City Minister has said.

Jonathan Reynolds, a member of Labour鈥檚 shadow Brexit team, said the party鈥檚 policy was for Britain to negotiate the best possible access to the single market.

Asked by Daily Politics presenter Andrew Neil if it was Labour鈥檚 policy that the UK should remain a member of the single market, Mr Reynolds said: 鈥淣o. It is the policy to try and achieve the fullest possible access to the single market.鈥�
