Yazidi freedom prize winner "still haunted" by experience
When Islamic State seized the Iraqi town of Mosul in 2014, they abducted thousands of Yazidi women and girls and forced them into sexual slavery. Nadia Murad Basee and Lamiya Aji Bashar survived this ordeal and became campaigners for fellow members of their Yazidi community. Today they received Europe's top human rights award, the Sakharov Prize. Nadia Murad Basee says she is still haunted by memories of her horrific experience and talks about those Yazidis who remain in captivity.
