The world's atmosphere has crossed an iconic threshold as measured by the concentration of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide. The atmosphere across the globe now consistently contains above 400 parts per million carbon dioxide. Dr Adam Rutherford talks to Dr Richard Betts from the Met Office about what this means for us and whether we can do anything about it.
