ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Television is 80
On 2 November 1936, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ launched the very first high definition television service in the world. To coincide with the occasion, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ has launched a new microsite with archive material from the early experimental days of TV. David Hendy is professor of Media and Cultural History at the University of Sussex who has been working with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ History and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Archives on the programmes marking the anniversary. He told Dan Damon about the project.
