Former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas says Manchester United have 鈥榓lmost panic bought鈥� in recent transfer windows.

United spent over 拢100m in the summer on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba but lie only eighth in the Premier League table after 10 games.

鈥淚 have to say I agree in terms of that鈥檚 why Manchester United have got it wrong in a lot of their windows where they've gone buying,鈥� said Jenas.

鈥淭hey鈥檝e almost panic bought, thinking we need to get a big star in, but they鈥檝e not got what it takes to knit it all together.

"Even the Pogba one. Top, top player but have they got the person that鈥檚 going to get the best out of Pogba? No they haven鈥檛.

"Have they got the player to control the game for them? Well, they鈥檝e got Michael Carrick but he [manager Jose Mourinho] just won鈥檛 play him for some reason.

"It鈥檚 just the little bits in-between. They鈥檙e not that far off but right now he鈥檚 just so upset with their attitude that he鈥檚 obviously losing it,鈥� added Jenas.
