Gold medallist Danson sad to leave Reading
Alex Danson, gold medal winner at Rio 2016, tells ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Berkshire she is sad to be leaving Reading Hockey after several years at the club.
"In hockey terms I'm getting a little bit older now, but I still love playing. If I'm given the opportunity to keep on playing I would love to."
"I'm very excited for a new challenge at Clifton Robinson, very sad to be leaving Reading though, they've been a fantastic team, and a fantastic place to play my hockey."
"The main reason I'm going across is that my best friend moved across there, and I just couldn't break that partnership."
"What are the chances though, I'm playing Reading in my first game, but it will be full of friendly faces."
