'Ferrari have created an environment of fear'
Ferrari have produced a "difficult" working environment according to Rob Smedley, a former race engineer at the F1 team.
The Italian team are without a win so far in 2016 as they head into the penultimate race in Brazil this weekend.
"I know it is not an easy environment within which to work," said Smedley. "Nobody should be scared if they make a mistake, or go down the wrong path with development, that they are going to lose their job."
Smedley, who left Ferrari in 2014 to join Williams, added: "An environment of fear will never work in any sport."
