Folk legend Judy Collins on the 'phenomenal' Leonard Cohen
Folk legend Judy Collins has paid tribute to Leonard Cohen, after the musical icon died age 82. His final album came out last month and he’s sure to go down in history as one of the most influential singer-songwriters of all time.
Judy was the first person to record "Suzanne" by Cohen in 1966. His own version was released the year after as his first single.
She told 5 live Drive he was “very good looking, interesting, deeply philosophical and mysterious.â€
Judy also described the moment she heard Cohen for the first time:
“I knew this was it, this was phenomenal. This was going to take the world to a new place…â€
