Malaysia's Prime Minister denies corruption amid calls for his resignation.

Malaysia's Minister for Economic Planning, Abdul Rahman, has criticised the United States after the Department of Justice accused his country's Prime Minister of misappropriating $700 million from the state investment fund 1MDB.

The Malaysian leader, Najib Razak, has denied any wrong doing and according to Mr Rahman the Americans should remember "in our country we give the benefit of the doubt to the accused."

Protestors continue to march in Kuala Lumpur amid their campaign for the resignation of the Prime Minister, but according to Abdul Raman Malaysia's leader is respected by other countries in Asia.
