Can art create understanding between demonstrators and police?
The artist Cannupa Hanksa Luger has created mirrored shields for demonstrators protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline at the Standing Rock reservation. He is from the area, and hopes that if there are further clashes with police, the mirrors will create a wall of reflection and understanding.
