Jedda refugee camp: Escaping from Mosul
Anna Foster is shown inside a family鈥檚 tent at the Jedda refugee camp, 20 miles outside Mosul.
The father of the family described his escape from Mosul:
鈥淭hey have taken me two times. Both times they have taken me, they were beating me, lashing me.鈥
鈥淥n the third time I have escaped. On the third time, I knew that if they took me, they would kill me.鈥
鈥淢osul is a big city, that鈥檚 why it was easy to hide.鈥
When asked if he hoped to return to Mosul and start a new life, the man replied 鈥淎fter all I have seen there, it鈥檚 going to be hard. It鈥檚 total destruction there.鈥
