Sutton: Sissoko was a 'bad buy' for Spurs
Moussa Sissoko was a '"bad buy" for Tottenham, according to former Norwich, Blackburn and Celtic striker Chris Sutton.
This follows Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino saying the midfielder has failed to live up to expectations following his £30m move from Newcastle.
Sissoko, 27, joined Spurs on a five-year contract after they matched Everton's bid on transfer deadline day in September.
But the France international has not even made the bench in the Premier League since he was handed a three-match ban for elbowing Bournemouth’s Harry Arter in October, though he has appeared twice in the Champions League since then.
"Sissoko was a bad buy wasn't he? And Pochettino's questioning him now," Sutton told Mark Chapman on 5 live Sport.
"That was a really odd move to virtually everybody in the country. It's a lot of money wasted."
