Quantum computers could solve problems 'in parallel universes'
British scientists say they are now close to building a large-scale quantum computer. The technology is thought to be a game changer, in that quantum computers could solve problems estimated to take even the fastest supercomputer millions of years, in milliseconds. Dan Damon asked professor Winfried Hensinger of Sussex University how such a machine would work.
