Electoral pacts just 'a grubby stitch up'
"It is patronising nonsense" to suggest political parties should work together under one candidate at elections, says Labour MP Ian Austin.
In the recent Richmond Park by-election, the Green Party decided not to field a candidate against the Liberal Democrats, whereas Labour did.
Mr Austin, the MP for Dudley North, says he won his seat by "listening to the people, not by having by a grubby stitch up".
