Barton: 'I'd be more skeptical of appointing Steven Gerrard than Ian Cathro'
Joey Barton believes Ian Cathro is fully deserving of his appointment as new head coach of Hearts.
Barton was responding to criticism from former Scotland striker Kris Boyd who responding to the appointment by saying "He [Cathro] has probably not been this excited since FIFA 17 came out on PlayStation!鈥�
Boyd believes Cathro is an example of "modern day coaches" who spend "too much time on their computers".
However Barton insists Cathro has "credibility鈥� and it would be more of a risk appointing a "novice" like former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
