Planet Earth II producer: Predators walk freely in 'Cities'
The final episode of Planet Earth II – entitled ‘Cities’ - offers a unique look at life in urban spaces through the eyes of animals.
Fredi Devas is the producer of the episode, and said: “It’s such a new area of research to be thinking about the urban environment as a new habitat for species – some are thriving, but some are suffering as well.â€
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ nature documentary series is attracting more than 12 million people each week and is on course to become the second most watched series of the year after The Great British Bake Off.
Fredi’s most extraordinary shoot was tracking spotted hyenas through Harrah, Ethiopia. “It’s the second largest predator in Africa, it’s ferocious and possibly the most vilified animal on our planet – yet they walk the streets freely and people welcome them in. It shows how man and beast can cohabit peacefully.â€
