AA Gill: A fantastic, dyslexic wordsmith
Sunday Times journalist AA Gill didn’t let having dyslexia get in his way.
Among the many tributes to the Sunday Times journalist AA Gill who died at the weekend just weeks after revealing that he had cancer, quite a few mentioned that his brilliance with words came alongside a struggle with them. He was dyslexic and that had a big impact on how he wrote.
Helen Hawkins, Culture Editor at the Sunday Times, worked with Gill for 25 years. She described his facility with words as 'not what you were expecting'. She was joined by Sally Gardner, an award-winning children's author who has dyslexia, to discuss the lyrical wordsmith AA Gill.
