Rex Tillerson: Who is he?

President-elect Donald Trump has confirmed the chief executive of Exxon Mobil, Rex Tillerson, as his choice for US secretary of state.

Speaking to 5 live's Chris Warburton, Thomas Wright from the Brookings Institution said Mr Tillerson came "to the nomination with a strong track record".

Mr Tillerson is also, he says, "one of the closest Americans to President Vladimir Putin".
