Where do you turn when you lose your twin?
On last week’s Your Call, we asked about women who inspired you. Nancy in Nottingham called to nominate Joan Woodward, founder of the Lone Twin Network.
The 650-members strong Network is a voluntary support group for anyone who has lost a twin at any stage in their life.
Joan, who is now 90, told 5 live she lost her own twin sister when they were three years old.
She said: “I was the smallest, and she was the strongest… but she disappeared in a taxi to hospital and didn’t come back.”
Despite her early loss, Joan said she remembers her twin well.
“We did lots of things together,” she added.
