SPOTY winner Murray reveals who he would have voted for
Sports Personality of the Year winner Andy Murray says his vote would have gone to Alistair Brownlee.
The Olympic triathlon champion finished second behind Murray, who picked up the award for a record third time, with show jumper Nick Skelton third.
Murray says Brownlee helping brother Jonny over the line at an event earlier in the year highlighted the spirit of sport
“It would have been Alistair because what he did earlier in the year, I just think it’s a
really important message,” Murray said.
