How Carl Sagan inspired a young Neil deGrasse Tyson
Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American cosmologist, author, and science communicator. In 2014 he presented the science documentary series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, which was the follow-up to the 1980 series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, presented by Carl Sagan. Neil always knew he wanted to become a scientist, but a chance meeting with Carl in 1975 taught him what kind of scientist he should strive to become.
