How do you find an ancient town?
In 2004, Stuart Wilson paid 32,000 pounds for a plot of land in Monmouthshire. A field.
His investment has paid off because he is convinced that he has discovered Trellech, an ancient industrial town.
But how easy is it to find these ancient spots? Archaeologist Professor Carenza Lewis from the University of Lincoln explains to PM that methods such as using satellite imaging of an area "to spot humps and bumps" or
looking out for mole hills, "which are like archaeological test pits", can give you some valuable clues.
