Why your gift voucher might be out of date
The government wants shops to change their rules covering gift vouchers so that all the vouchers expire after two years. This is because so many of them are never spent – £300 million worth a year. The expiry dates on gift cards are different depending on where they’re from. Winifred Robinson talks to James Daily of the consumer group Fairer Finance, who is warning about the pitfalls of gift vouchers.
