Alan Green: 48-team World Cup so perverse it almost makes me want Blatter back
Commentator Alan Green is far from impressed with Fifa's expansion of the World Cup to 48 countries, up from 32.
From 2026 the competition will consist of an initial stage of 16 groups of three teams, which will precede a knockout stage for the remaining 32.
Reacting to the decision Green says: 鈥淚t almost makes me yearn to bring Blatter back, it's that perverse.鈥�
