Panesar: Australia cricket job means I miss EastEnders
Monty Panesar admits he's getting a little homesick while out in Australia. The former England bowler is working with the Australian spinners and has been asked to advise them on their up coming tour to India.
He said: "I got the call to see if I was available to work with some of the players ahead of their tour to India and I was very happy to do that."
Panesar, 34, has been down under for over three months now and admits he's getting more homesick, adding: "I'm missing Coronation Street, EastEnders and watching the football - doing the normal English stuff."
The former England spinner has suffered from anxiety and paranoia but admits his time in Australia has helped him to overcome his mental illness. He said: "I've felt good in the last few months. I was on some medication but I've gradually moved away from that. With the support of my local club, I've done yoga and substituted that for my medication."
